Overview
Asteroid is a single-player arcade game. The player controls a small vessel that can rotate and fire 360 degrees, and can also thrust and decelerate. The player must shoot asteroids and alien space vessels. Each asteroid breaks down into two smaller pieces, which break down again into 2 smaller pieces until ultimately destroyed. After each level is cleared, a new field of asteroids occurs. There are 2 levels of difficulty, and the player earns a new ship every 10,000 points.
