Overview
A horizontally scrolling shooter, Horizon is the spiritual sequel to Moon Patrol. Both were developed by Irem; Moon Patrol was licensed to Williams. There is no mention of Moon Patrol on the title screen as Williams still had the license at that time.
Players take control of a hover vehicle armed with a turret and a cannon, rolling over the terrain and alternating their position and perspective on three different lanes to destroy enemies and dodge attacks while avoiding obstacles and picking up fuel and other items.
Though never commercially released outside of Japan, it did at least make it to a location testing phase.
