Overview

Handy Dandy is a 1-player arcade game for the Apple II. The player controls a plumber who can move left and right, and must climb a series of ladders and platforms while avoiding dangers. Gameplay occurs over two separate screens. As the player explores, water levels slowly rise beneath the player, and if the player becomes submerged they lose a life. In the first stage, the player must avoid large sewer rats which move across pipelines. In the second stage, the player must avoid steam, crushing platforms and other dangers. The player starts with 3 lives, and when all are lost it's game over. If they player loses a life, they start again at the bottom of the screen. After completing the second level, the player restarts from the beginning with faster moving water and enemies.
