Overview
Gothic wa Mahou Otome is Cave's second smartphone-exclusive shooter. Set in Deathsmiles's gothic fantasy world of Gilverado, it features magic maidens who have accepted contracts to become magical familiars. The core gameplay is classic Cave-style manic (bullet hell) shooting; as in other mobile shmups, the player controls their ship by moving their finger across the screen, and it fires automatically. Players' familiars can be equipped as their ship's main shot and as options, allowing for a unique customizable loadout. Certain familiars are unlocked through playing the game, while others are randomly available through the paid gacha. In addition to the shooting stages, there are voiced visual novel story scenes.
