Herisferix

Herisferix is a game which was originally written using the Shoot Em Up Construction Kit. It was imported into the SEUCK Redux framework and features some pretty cool enhancements, such as enemy firing intelligence, some power ups and no SEUCK slowdown syndrome. The game also features a new score panel and front end. The game was enhanced and submitted by special request of the game author, Pinov Vox, himself. This game was exclusively released on Zzap! 64 Micro Action issue 14's digital covermount. The game is also available to download and play online.

Instructions:

Your home base has been attacked by an evil alien empire. Your mission is to fly your space fighter through all five zones, fight away the alien interceptors and defeat their Empire. Locate the last boss and then shut it down by blasting at the gate. The aliens will be waiting to do battle against you and some alien interceptors will aim directly for your ship before firing lasers.

There are blue enemy ships parked on board the alien base. You can destroy those by flying over them. Pick up green pods for a temporary shield also collect pink pods for long range firing, orange pods will give you a two-way firing power up. Also shoot at the special energy. This will arm your space fighter with a smart bomb. Spacebar/fire joy port 1 will activate it and will destroy all evil aliens on sight. You can only activate smart bombs when the border is red. If an alien kills you, any power up in your possession will be lost and your space fighter will be restored to its default.

Can you complete all five zones, and defeat the evil alien Empire, or will there be nothing left of you?
