Overview

Sage Solitaire is a variant of the Solitaire card game that involves poker hands. As in a regular Solitaire game the goal is to clear the board by creating matches and also scoring points along the way. A game uses 51 cards where one is removed to act as the bonus suit, doubling the points of any hand made during the game using that suit. The cards are organized in nine stacks as a 3x3 grid, with more cards in the top row, less in the middle, and the least in the bottom row. Cards are removed by combining cards to create hands based on the poker card game, except two pair. A match cannot be created anywhere, but only between cards that are on at least two different rows. That way using cards adjacent to each other on the same row is for instance not possible. With each match the cards are removed and the next ones on the stacks are revealed. It is possible to trash cards and each new hand provides a new option to trash. The game is free-to-play and comes with the Single Deck and Vegas modes. A one-time in-app purchase removes the advertisements and unlocks three additional modes (Double, Fifteens and Grit) as well as wallpapers and themes. Each game mode is another variant of the concept. Fifteens for instance lets players also create hands when the cards used for it add up to fifteen, Double Deck uses twice the amount of cards and so on.
