Overview
Xerus is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20. The player controls a small vessel that moves laterally at the bottom of the screen and fires vertically upwards. Enemy space vessels move towards the bottom of the screen while zigzagging left and right, and firing at the player. When an enemy vessel hits the bottom of the screen it creates a bomb and explodes. If the player is hit by enemy fire or the resulting explosion they lose a life. The player starts with 3 lives.
