Hack: Le Avventure di Mario 1 Created by: Silver/Wakana Release Date: 2011 Exits: 91 Fixed by: SimFan96 This is the fixed version of Le Avventure di Mario 1 by Wakana. This version fixes the latest released version of the hack including broken music and other issues, in addition to this I also included the original Italian translation of the hack. Fixes provided: * Fixed broken music included in the game originally which would crash on console and accurate emulators. * The hack uses fastrom, however the majority of long addresses didn't use fastrom addressing. This has been fixed and will further reduce slowdown in the hack. * L+R scrolling in levels with the SMB scroll sprite will no longer softlock the game. * There will no longer be a small flash of color before the Nintendo Presents screen or on level load. * There's quite a few areas in the hack that can softlock the player where they can't progress through a level until the timer runs out or the player dies, these have been fixed to prevent this from occuring. * On accurate emulators, if a level has both HDMA and a large amount of dynamic sprites on the screen, the HDMA gradient will start to flicker random colors. This has been fixed by implementing Ice Man's HDMA 3.5 patch. * Graphical glitches with some Dynamic sprites have been fixed. * Code that implements multiplication and division registers have been updated to work correctly in accurate emulators. * Fixed an issue with the pause routine. Originally, if the player paused the game, the music wouldn't mute, but upon unpausing the music would be muted. * The lightning generator and level ending question mark orb in Wastelands 4 can be rather glitchy. Commonly, if the player touched the level ending question mark orb at the end of this level, layer 3 elements such as the status bar, message box, or overworld border would be permanently glitched until the player resets the game. This issue has been fixed so layer 3 will no longer glitch from completing this level. * HDMA gradients will no longer appear on the level transition or game over screens. * The Yoshi's Island Balloon sprites that appear in Castle 7 can be glitchy if they are placed on the beginning or end of a horizontal screen boundary and can cause the player to be randomly teleported. Touching the sprite will no longer randomly teleport the player. * In the Enchanted Forest cave level, the HDMA wave effect will not appear after passing the midway point, now it will show even upon returning to the level after collecting the midway point. Known issues: * Slowdown is still present in the hack. * Some graphical glitches still appear. Notes: * Music was reinserted using AddMusicKFF. * SFX Echo re-added to levels and other fixes implemented using UberASM patch. * This hack fix was tested with both the latest version of BSNES and Snes9x 1.60.
