Overview
Sonic CD is a singleplayer side view scrolling platform game developed by Sonic Team, ported by H.I.C. and published by Sega. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Originally released on Sega CD in 1993, the game was ported to PC and released on August 9, 1996. In North America, it was published by Expert Software. The game has some compatibility issue with newer versions of Windows OS and requires a fan-made patch to run properly. Similarly, FMV playback does not work with newer versions of Windows OS and requiring a workaround to work. The game use the soundtrack from the North American release of the original Sega CD game, even in the Japanese release.
