Overview
The King Tut arcade machine released in 1979 is actually an electro-mechanical "puck bowler" or shuffle alley game, rather than a traditional video game. It was manufactured by Williams Electronics, Inc. under their Williams / United brand.
Features iconic 1970s Egyptomania artwork, capitalizing on the massive popularity of the traveling King Tut museum exhibitions of that decade.
Players slide a physical puck down the lane to trip sensors beneath a set of hanging replica bowling pins. It uses early digital scoreboard displays to track frames and strikes.
