Overview
A 4-button fighter, with a control scheme reminiscent to Virtua Fighter. It is based on the popular and long-running Kinnikuman anime/manga franchise. This game's roster is focused on the characters from the original 80s series, though it has several characters from the early 2000s sequel Kinnikuman Nisei (known as Ultimate Muscle in the West). Considering the developer's background and Kinnikuman's subject matter, MGP2 has a lot of wrestling game elements, such as ring ropes and an emphasis on throws. However, unlike most other AKI games, MGP2 also has mechanics more at home with your traditional fighting game, like meters, motion inputs and juggles. These mechanics come together to make a game that plays quite like nothing else out there.
