Miami Vice: The Videogame

Overview

This hack turns a game based on a Japanese TV show cloned from Miami Vice, into an (un) official Miami Vice videogame on NES for very first time.

The original game was developed by Micronics, responsible for titles with low production values such as Super Pitfall or Athena. That in the case of Mottomo Abunai Dekka (literally “Dangerous Cops”) translates into poor graphics, ridiculous physics and a duration of about 20-25 minutes. On the other hand, its strong points are a 2-player cooperative mode and abundant cinematics that narrate a story of two super cops against a drug cartel with chases, kidnappings, police corruption, etc. That made it the best candidate for this hack.
