Overview
Mini Baseball, released in 1972 by the Chicago Coin Machine Co., is a unique upright pinball-style arcade machine rather than a traditional horizontal flipper game.
A player shoots a small steel ball onto a vertical plexiglass playfield. The ball falls through various lanes that determine the outcome (e.g., single, double, triple, home run, or out). The game concludes when the player records 3 outs or reaches a score of 100 runs.
Unlike many earlier electromechanical games that used physical bells, Mini Baseball utilized an early solid-state sound card. Specific sounds like "boos" or sirens can trigger based on performance, such as hitting a home run.
