Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost (pronounced "Cross Boost") is an update to the arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. 2, announced as part of the 10th anniversary of the Extreme Vs. series, with a closed beta test in November 2020, before being released on March 10, 2021.

Several changes were made to the Burst System. While Fighting and Shooting Burst would remain untouched, Mobility was changed to only provide a pure movement boost. Extended and Linkage would be merged to form the new Covering Burst, which can similarly be used defensively or to boost the partner's EX Gauge and Raging Burst would be introduced, which gives its user hyper armor and reduces their stagger from attacks.

A new addition would be the EX Burst X, when the player activates their Burst alongside their teammate. The EX Burst X will now give the team additional buffs based on their own burst.

Likely to help players coordinate their Burst, the game now displays the partner's Boost Gauge as well.

Aside from moveset changes, some suits, such as the Hambrabi and Hyperion, had their cost changed.

When a character uses their Burst Attack, there will also be a short appearance of their mugshot as they perform their attack.
