Overview

A German language fantasy, illustrated text adventure game made by Achim Kern and published by OASE in 1993. In the game you are Taran and you have to defeat the dark forces and help your king to regain his kingdom. More than 20 years later, developer did enhanced ports to AmigaOS 3, AmigaOS4 and other platforms. Taran is a knight in a fantasy kingdom who gets tasked by the king to find his lost insignia of power, his crown and sceptre. If Taran succeeds, he will get to marry the king's beautiful daughter and will have half of the kingdom for his rule. The game plays like a classical text-adventure, but it has some graphical menus for convenience. Four standard commands and movements can be chosen from an interface. Choosing "examine" will give a list of all objects you can examine in the room. You can also use cursor keys for movements and the function keys for certain commands. The game has a hunger/thirst mechanic, so you need to eat and drink on a regular basis. Your inventory is limited to ten objects.
