Armed with Wings

Armed with Wings introduces a world with a grey sky and black walls where living silhouettes are born from Blackmist, and dissipate into blackmist when they die. Here, a tyrant rules an empire, and has killed all who had rebelled against him. 5 years after that victory, one of the rebels he had killed returns to life, with the strength of a hero, and the spirit of an eagle. This is the protagonist of the series.

In the quest for vengeance against the King, Vandheer Lorde, who killed Lone Warrior and his fellow rebels, Lone Warrior have the aid of an eagle spirit he can release from within himself to move and retrieve objects, or distract his foes while he sneak up behind.

While progressing through the stages, Lone Warrior fights various soldiers and monsters in the service of Vandheer Lorde, including a powerful monster that acts as the first boss in the series. Eventually, the Lone Warrior meets Vandheer Lorde and fights him. He manages to defeat him, but Vandheer Lorde vows revenge and flees.
