Jet Set Willy '97

Overview

An AMOS based shareware game published by Cellblock4 in 1997. Jet Set Willy '97 is an unofficial sequel/reboot of the original 1984 Jet Set Willy. The game is a platformer where your goal is to collect a large number of items scattered across many rooms. Each room takes up one screen, and has a unique name. You can travel from one room to an adjacent room by walking, jumping or falling off the edge of the screen. The items that you need to collect are identified by changing color rapidly -- there are other objects that are just part of the background and can be ignored. There are also many patrolling enemies that can kill you. Some platforms are conveyor belts that will push you in one direction when you stand on them, and there are staircases (diagonal lines of pixels) that let you reach higher platforms.
