Glean

Glean is a 2D sci-fi platform game in which the player controls a small robotic mining probe equipped with drills. Stranded in space after a wormhole jump, you must first restore your ship's functionality by rebuilding its modules. Drilling into the labyrinth of rocks allows you to collect resources (various ores and crystals), which when combined into components can be used for crafting said modules or upgrading yourself. Deeper layers offer rarer minerals, however with depth comes temperature increase, which damages the bot. Upgrading your subsystems counters this, you may also consume carried minerals for emergency repairs or quickly go back to the surface to let the ship fix you. Expect working in dangerous conditions if you want to progress.

Eventually you'll find rare capsules of unknown origin (the plot of the game), which can be reverse-engineered for the blueprints of more advanced components. The various planets you'll visit are procedurally generated each time. Animated and voiced cut-scenes are hosted on YouTube.
