Got fourth place in the Retro Komp Gamedev Compo 2016. Simulates a drag racing, where two cars compete. The game was developed on an A500 with one Megabyte RAM. During the game, the player is tasked with accelerating as quickly as possible. A car with low coefficients will be more sensitive to steering slip, which will make trajectory correction necessary. The absence of trajectory correction causes the car to rub against the protective elements of the track. Collisions with track elements cause the car to slow down, and it's up to the player to avoid them. You will need to accelerate to avoid overheating the engine. The aim of the game is to eventually win more races and thus earn money to upgrade the current car or buy new vehicles. The player will have the option to set a stake/bet to win or lose a race. The winnings will be added to the overall score and will constitute the game currency. The budget can be spent on improving the car by upgrading several coefficients that improve the characteristics of our racer. The game screen is divided into 3 sections. The first from the top is the part where the main race takes place. Below are markers for the car's current position relative to the total length of the track. Below, in the lower part of the screen, indicators for the first player from the left: speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature, current gear number and status of the “Nitro” turbo boost. In the lower right corner are the second player's indicators, positioned and similar in layout and function to the first player's potentiometers.
