Pokémon Soothing Silver

This ROM hack reworks Pokémon SoulSilver with new forms, balance changes, and modern quality-of-life improvements. Several Pokémon are replaced with their regional variants, and about 40 custom shiny designs are included with an increased shiny rate. The game is harder: trainers and gym leaders have stronger, more varied teams, and level curves are raised across Johto and Kanto. Nearly all Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon are obtainable before the League, and additional species become available afterward. Many Pokémon receive buffs such as new typings, abilities, stats, or expanded movesets. Moves are adjusted to be more useful (even HMs), evolutions are simplified, and type effectiveness is rebalanced.

The hack adds new encounters on most routes, a second rival battle (Gold/Kris), and optional events including super bosses and legendary encounters. Version 1.3 adds a new questline with more bosses, more custom shinies and regional forms, a new move tutor, additional Pokémon adjustments, more QOL upgrades, bug fixes, and various undisclosed extras.
