Overview

Designed for 5-8 year olds, LE PETIT LECTEUR is a real reading method that takes care of the technical aspect of the act of reading, the playful phase of assembly and the trial and error of the search for meaning. At once a picture book, dictionary, tutor, printer, and game box, this software makes the child the craftsman of his learning activities while maintaining the course set on know-how objectives. It strives to serve the rights of the child which are the rights to play and dream, thus opening the way that leads to the blossoming of reading. PICTURE BOOK: more than 120 images or pictograms are available to the child for the creation of correspondences. These images can scroll as icons in windows, be displayed in groups for identification, or be aligned in sequences to serve as a framework for stories. DICTIONARY: to establish the meaning relationships with the images, words are stored, accompanied by several essential clues for their use in the learning phase. In particular, the information necessary for the search for sounds, the construction of their silhouette, the assembly of their letters or packets of letters and the relationships with other words (articles or pronouns). TUTOR: This software offers the child 6 different activities for approaching words in a range from simple identification exercises to assembly in sequential series through instructions for phonological and/or graphic constructions. PRINTER: with LE PETIT LECTEUR the child also finds himself in an essential typographic phase. He has stores of graphics and letters that can be called up as needed, the screen serves as an editing table and the shapes of the silhouettes help with composition without typos. GAME BOX: And of course, for the simple pleasure, games of recognition and constructions can intervene, giving back to the playful function an essential character because the passage to a socialized code supposes for the child the acceptance of the rules of games of this code, rules which do not always have the logic of the obvious! With THE LITTLE READER, the child is led to advance the time of writing, making it prior to the reading phase. Thus, the child is able to write what he is going to read. he also knows how to read what he knows how to write and vice versa.
