Overview
Mahjong Kakumei (麻雀革命) is a Japanese arcade video game released in 1990 by Jaleco. Rather than being an entire standalone dedicated cabinet, it was primarily sold as a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) kit meant to be installed into standard Japanese sit-down arcade cabinets (often equipped with specialised mahjong control panels).
The game belongs to the "Gekiga Mahjong" sub-genre, known for featuring hand-drawn anime or manga-style character graphics. It spawned a sequel two years later in 1992 called Mahjong Kakumei 2: Princess League.
