Overview
Spider-Man & X-Men: Arcade’s Redux is a massive balance patch to improve gameplay and tone down difficulty of the infamous original game. It features a save system in which the game saves after each life that is lost. Other global changes include: * Always having the option to skip stage 1 * Wolverine and Storm’s Music has been restored in their respective levels * Start with 5 lives Character-specific changes include: * Spider-Man moves and climbs faster * Wolverine's health replenishes faster * Gambit has unlimited cards * Storm's oxygen depletes at a slower rate * Cyclops has a consistent firing rate, regardless of damage Many other quality of life changes are included in the ROM hack in an overall effort to make the game less difficult.
