Tetris (M2)

Overview

Tetris is a game that appears as one of the 42 games ported to the Mega Drive Mini / Sega Genesis Mini. It is a port, created by M2, of Sega's 1988 arcade version.

Not to be confused with the unreleased Tetris developed by Sanritsu Denki and cancelled shortly before release on 15 April 1989, which featured different gameplay mechanics to the arcade version.

Being faithful to the arcade, M2's port does not have wall kicks, and increasing the level is accomplished by either clearing 4 lines in any combination of line clears or placing a tetromino after the "level timer" reaches a certain value.
