Minecraft Dungeons Arcade

Overview

Minecraft Dungeons Arcade is a fantasy top-down hack-and-slash game developed by Play Mechanix (in conjunction with Mojang) and released by Raw Thrills for arcades on May 2021.

Based on the 2020 action-RPG Minecraft Dungeons (itself based on the sandbox survival game Minecraft), Minecraft Dungeons Arcade changes the game to a simple hack-and-slash (similar to the Gauntlet series) and puts up to four players as adventurers against waves of enemies in nine stages from the original game.

Similar to the manufacturer's earlier arcade adaptation of the mobile Injustice: Gods Among Us game, Minecraft Dungeons Arcade features a collectible card system that allows players to earn cards (by playing a credit) for use in-game using the cabinet's dedicated card scanners. There are five card types: two for the player's appearance (Armor and Skin) and one for each of the three power-ups (Melee, Range, and Pet). Players can scan different cards at any time to change their appearance and power-ups.
