Metal Clash was produced by Data East in 1985
Metal Clash is a very non-typical 2D fighting game set in a futuristic universe. The player controls a giant flying robot (some kind of mecha) and must destroy alien robots. At the beginning of the game, small robots have to be destroyed that die from a single hit. After the destruction of the right amount of small enemies on the battlefield, a greater enemy appears - and the player duels with him. This enemy usually has some firearms.
