Overview

The game is based on the anime series Mars of Destruction. In year 2016, mankind finally reaches the planet Mars. They gather Martian artifacts, intending to bring them to the Earth for further study. But a malfunction causes their spaceship to explode shortly before landing in Japan, and the artifacts fall onto the Earth, releasing a terrible virus that makes people insane and violent. A special unit called AAST is assembled to fight the threat. The group consists of five beautiful girls, the captain, and the protagonist Takeru. In the year 2016, a manned mission to Mars succeeds in gathering artifacts for eventual study on Earth. On the way back home, a system malfunction causes the spacecraft to explode in the skies over Japan. The Martian artifacts fall to Earth and release a virus which changes affected humans into malevolent creatures. To combat the threat, a group called the AAST is assembled which is comprised of five gals, a captain named Souma Shigeru, and one Takeru Filnata. That's you. AAST monitors the creatures and develops a special battle suit which is immune from the effects of the virus and empowers the wearer with enough moxie to battle the mutated humans and quell the increasing threat. The game is played through interaction sequences and short action challenges where Takeru battles the mutated men in attack sequences using the "Double Circle Battle System" where two spinning circles represent attack power as well as defensive ability. To attack, one must tap the controller in time with the cues on screen. During the wages of war, Takeru may also find love with one of the five gals of the AAST during the numerous face to face interactions with each girl. The Limited Edition includes an exclusive drama CD, three postcards which feature the gals from the game, and an art booklet which contains full color artwork of the characters along with sketches of sets, designs, etc.
