Overview
The Noraut Joker Poker is an iconic pub video poker arcade machine originally manufactured by Noraut Ltd., a company established in 1980 in Omagh, Northern Ireland. Released in its original form around 1988, these cabinets became an absolute staple of nightlife culture across pubs, clubs, and hotels in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
The distinct chime sound effects, visual layout, and gameplay mechanics of the Noraut poker machines are highly nostalgic, widely considered by locals to be a uniquely Northern Irish invention.
The machine plays a variant of video poker where players seek to build traditional winning card combinations (such as pairs, flushes, or four-of-a-kind).
