Overview
Oozumou: The Grand Sumo is an arcade adaptation of professional sumo wrestling. The player takes part in a sequence of matches, aiming to rise through the ranks and achieve the title of yokozuna.
Bouts take place inside a circular ring viewed from the side. Each contest revolves around power struggles and timing, as wrestlers grapple and attempt to perform finishing moves that push or throw the opponent from the ring. Success leads to tougher opponents in later tournaments.
