Close Combat: Wacht am Rhein continues the Close Combat series depicting the fighting in the Ardennes forest during the winter of 1944. Wacht am Rhein is a remake of Close Combat: The Battle of the Bulge, the fourth game in the series.

The game features a new enlarged strategic map including 64 hand drawn maps, over 70 scenarios, a reworked computer AI, and compatibility with newer operating systems.
