Overview

Roads Edge (known in Japan as Round Trip RV) is a 3D off-road racing game developed and released by SNK for arcades (running Hyper Neo Geo 64 hardware) on September 10, 1997. It is the first game by SNK to use real-time 3D polygon rendering and the first game (out of seven) to use the Hyper Neo Geo 64 arcade hardware. Players race in SUVs and pickup trucks through courses that loop around the endpoints, requiring them to avoid head-on collisions with other racers. Up to four cabinets can be linked up for multiplayer support. It received a sequel a year later, titled Xtreme Rally.
