Overview
Hanger is an arcade flash game developed by Christian Ostman and released on September 16, 2010. It was updated to HTML5 in June of 2018 and is also available for Android and iOS devices.
In this game, the player gets to swing through the air and they'll have to avoid obstacles to travel as far as they can. They will control a ragdoll character and have to swing from a rope that they create that attaches to the ceiling and keeps them airborne while navigating the level. There are coins throughout the game that allow the player to purchase different avatars to play with. While many avatars perform the same as the starting avatar, there are some like the big hanger and slime that have different characteristics to their mechanics. For instance, big hanger is much larger than other avatars and slime's rope stretches much more than others.
The timing of when the player chooses to shoot your rope is key because pressing too early and they will be too high. Moreover, pressing too late and they will be too low, hence why they need to press at the right time to safely pass the obstacles. As the player travels further, the levels get progressively harder. There is a total of 23 levels in the game.
