Knightmare Tower is an action game by Canadian indie developer Juicy Beast Studio, which was originally released in Flash, then ported on iOS on August 1, 2013 and on Windows, OS X, and Linux on June 16, 2014. It stars a rocket-riding knight who goes on a quest to fly himself up a monster-infested tower in order to free the ten princesses who are being held captive there. The main campaign of Knightmare Tower starts you off at the bottom of the tower, where you're tasked with igniting the knight's rocket for launch - ideally, you should try to launch the rocket when the launch meter's needle is as close to the top as possible. Once the rocket is launched, you will continuously fly upward but must keep your speed up in order to be able to keep flying and outrace the rising lava that comes up from below. Keeping your speed up is as simple as slamming down on enemies and powerups that appear as you progress up the tower, but be wary of the enemy monsters - there are many different varieties of them, and they each attack in different ways! The game ends once you run out of health from enemies' attacks or fail to maintain enough speed to avoid being burned by the rising lava; afterwards, you can use the gold you earned from your run to buy upgrades that can help you get further up the tower. The game also has a series of quests to be completed (or you can simply skip them in exchange for gold) - the ultimate goal of the game is to complete all of the quests so you can earn the special key needed to access the final boss battle located at the top of the tower's 11th floor. After beating the boss battle, you unlock the endless Survival mode which has its own set of quests to complete.
