Overview

Masque Blackjack is a blackjack game for 1 - 4 players in which the player can choose to play by themselves, against friends or against computer opponents. The game may be played entirely via the keyboard, entirely via the mouse or by a combination of the two. All players start the game with $1000 represented by stacks of chips. Playing with the mouse bets are made by either clicking on the players stack of chips or, this action transfers the chips onto the players area of the table, or by dragging and dropping the chips onto the table. When all players have made their bets the cards are dealt. Players have the usual options to Stand, Hit / Draw, Spilt, Double-Down and, where appropriate, take out insurance. Players make their selections. Blackjack is paid immediately, those players who exceed a card count of 21 are eliminated. When all players have made their selections the dealer reveals their cards and plays. The game has an in-game help function. The mouse can be used to make hand gestures to the dealer as in a real casino game. Other features include playing the players CDs during the game, automatically counting the cards, optionally showing the credit balance of all players, and playing to a variety of different blackjack rules. The game has no save facility so credits accumulated during one session are not retained for the next.
