Masque Video Poker is a single player video poker simulation. The game starts with the player either choosing an existing identity or creating a new one. The game can be played entirely via the keyboard or entirely via the mouse, or a combination of the two. There is no save game function allowing the results of one session to be carried forward to the next. In a typical game the player starts with 40 credits and can bet 1,2,3,4 or 5 credits bet game. The game screen shows the winning hands and the payouts for each. Once the bet is made the player clicks on the 'Deal' button and five cards are dealt. If a winning hand is dealt the game screen automatically highlights the appropriate line. The player may hold or any of their cards before selecting the 'deal' button for the final time. Any cards not held will be replaced by this re-deal. Again the game automatically highlights the winning line. If the player has won their winnings are automatically added to their current total. The lowest hand the game pays out on is a high card pair, that's a pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings or Aces. Single pairs of other numbers do not win. The game has in-game music and also allows the player to listed to their own CD while playing.
