Overview

X-Plane 8 is a flight simulator using the blade element theory, which originated in the 19th century. Like the previous installments in the X-Plane series, the game is a realistic flight simulation, utilizing real-world navaids, airports, and planes. The game is bundled with tools to design and modify aircrafts, navaids, and scenery. This version differs from its predecessor in the following areas: -Higher frames per second. -Higher resolution computer generated scenery based on Shuttle SRTM data. -3D cockpits with same detail and resolution as 2D cockpits. -New Aircraft format allowing for more wings, flaps, bodies and gear. -Version 8.40 for Mac is a Universal Binary and runs natively on Intel Macintoshes.
