Overview

Men at Work! 3: Hidden in a forest in Europe sits an old castle that has stood there for over 1000 years and inside this castle lays a magic school. Both wizards and monster hunters in training attend this institution. In the previous installments you’re either playing as these very monster hunters and spell casters, or attending magic school like the current game. In this game you play as a son of a well established Crichton family. However, despite your potent lineage you’re aptitude has been measured to be one of the lowest possible. Regardless, you’re still admitted to the school (along with two friends who’re twin-sisters). Suddenly on the way to the school, the train you all were riding suddenly becomes derailed. It is night and monsters lurk--will the batch of new students get to the castle safe and sound? You play as Lyle Einsworth, who was born with the special ability to be a magic hunter. During the day, you take classes, speaking with your fellow students and your teachers and exchanging items. You have a set schedule of classes, and by attending classes (making sure not to be late), you can make Lyle's statistics rise. Once the clocks turn nine, the monster hunting beings. You wander the school grounds with your fellow classmates and face off against enemies. Characters in your party have elemental abilities, and by lining up your attacks properly, you can perform combos. The gameplay is in most part a visual novel in which the player can only choose between different possible answers to advance in the story but in some parts the game changes to a turn based classic rpg in which the player can stop the battle to give orders to his players (like attack, use magic, use items, defend) with the new system that at any time each of the characters can be moved to a later battletime position to join other characters to perform a combo attack. The Limited Edition features and a illustration booklet draw by Yamamoto Kazue and also included a special music CD.
