Overview

Miami Speedboat Racer is an arcade boat racer with events based in eight major locations, including Miami, Amsterdam, London and Venice. Each event consists of multiple races. In the championship mode six racers take part and a good ranking is needed to unlock new event and boats. There are ten characters to choose from, of which 4 need to be unlocked. Each boat has different strengths. While racing, power-ups can be collected, providing jumps, boost, mines or rockets. The tracks are checkpoint-based with a few alternative routes. Sailing boats, yachts and even cruise ships are also part of the environment and they can block the route. Explosions or too much speed can cause the boats to flip, making room for some strategy. The other two game modes are Quick Race and Sightseeing. All events have historical hotspots of which the name is shown during a race. Players can keep track of the competition and the checkpoint through a mini-map in the top right corner, but there are also arrows that point to the right direction.
