Overview
The Super Game Mega Type 1 (often abbreviated as sgmt1) is a bootleg multi-game arcade system released in 1994 by a manufacturer known as Kim. It is not a standard standalone cabinet, but rather an unlicenced hardware modification (hacked clone) of a Nintendo PlayChoice-10 arcade board, built using components derived from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Famicom hardware architecture.
Unlike legitimate commercial multi-game systems that featured dozens of options, the Super Game Mega Type 1 hardware was built to support exactly 7 platform-style games. To bypass standard limitations of the clone hardware, it utilized large 2-megabit (or greater) memory sizes to host a collection of prominent NES titles:
1. Rockman 5 (Mega Man 5)
2. Ninja 2 (Ninja Ryukenden / Ninja Gaiden)
