Blaster Master: The Lost Key

Overview

In this hack of Blaster Master for the NES, all overworld and underworld maps have been revamped, so no maps from the original game will be encountered. The areas in this hack may need to be completed in a different order than the original game.

It is recommended to complete the original game before attempting this hack. Once the new layout has been familiarized with, the difficulty level and completion time of this hack is comparable to those of the original game. This hack, however, tests in-depth knowledge typically only obtainable from having played the original game. Items are generously distributed, because the hack is intended to be challenging but fun.

Three different routes all lead to the ending of this hack. The more upgrades obtained, the easier the route, but the longer the route as well. The question of whether the Lost Key can be recovered, remains. Everything discovered can be used to an advantage, so it is recommended to take notes of any clues encountered.
