Ice Muncher

Ice Muncher is a homebrew arcade-style video game released for the ColecoVision console in 2023. Programmed by developer Nicolas Campion (Nicam), the game was created to fill a gap for fans after an official port of Sega's classic arcade game Pengo failed to materialize on the system. Synopsis & Gameplay The game serves as an uncompromised, unofficial clone of the 1982 arcade hit Pengo. The Protagonist: You control a penguin trapped in an icy maze environment. The Mission: Players must survive waves of adversarial creatures (Sno-Bees) patrolling the maze. The Mechanics: You defeat enemies by kicking large blocks of ice across the screen, crushing any enemies caught in their path. Ice blocks can also be destroyed to alter the layout of the maze or find hidden bonuses.
