Death River

Death River is a top view horizontal shooter that scrolls constantly from right to left, and your mission in your boat is to rescue hostages. To get a hostage you must blast the other boats on the river and occasionally a hostage will appear in the water and you attempt to collect him. Your boat can carry five hostages at a time, anymore and you will capsize but there are jetties (shown by the letter H) on the sides and when touched will empty your boat. A fuel gauge decreases as you drive down the river but fuel can be collected on the sides. Mines in the water need avoiding and if you touch a mine, a boat, the sides of the river, run out of fuel or capsize then you lose one of three lives.
