S·A·S

Overview

The player has seized vital documents from the enemy's headquarters after a daring raid. Unfortunately, the rescue helicopter was shot down, and the player is the only survivor. The player must reach Plato Bay by crossing nine minefields, while avoiding patrolling helicopter gunships and guards. The player starts with a mine detector and 10 percussion grenades.

Played from a top-down perspective, the player tries to cross the screen from the bottom to top. The mine detector will detect mines ahead, to the left, and right. Grenades can be used to knock out enemy bases, and these bases have wire-guided missiles to knock out patrolling helicopters. Extra grenades can be seized by passing through a minefield and surprising patrolling guards. There's a limited amount of daylight, and during night the player must maneuver using the metal detector and lights from the bases and patrolling guards.
