Metal Slug 2.5: The New Rebellion Power

Metal Slug 2.5: The New Rebellion Power, also called Metal Slug Two-Half, is a fan game based on Metal Slug 2 & Metal Slug X for Windows created by SuperBlinky. The game has been cancelled, as SuperBlinky wasn't satisfied with the game and Game Maker 8's limitations, despite it only missing the final boss. He later on decided to focus on making Metal Slug SB Fanthology, as it let him make the experience as close to official Metal Slug's game feel.

While the original version has been cancelled, the game is being remade in Metal Slug SB Fanthology, under the name Metal Slug 2.5 SILVER, with remade stages and different bosses. That version will also be getting a remix of sorts, called Metal Slug X GOLDEN.
