Victory or Defeat

Victory or Defeat is a turn-based strategy game. It prides itself for its scenario editor which allows to create new scenarios with new maps and city placement (both can be done randomly or manually). It also comes with four pre-made scenarios, including a map of Europe and a purely naval map.

The game itself pits two factions (red and blue) against each other. Each turn, players produce units which are then moved over the map to defend or attack cities. Before starting a game, the player(s) chooses the level of complexity: in the lower two, they only have access to pre-made units while the high complexity allows the production of customized units. The victory conditions are either cap kill (capture the enemy's capital), total destruction (destroy all enemy units and cities) or economic victory (hold a certain amount of cities for a certain amount of time, both variables are set at the beginning).
