Overview
Released by Sega in September 2003, World Club Champion Football (WCCF): Serie A 2002-2003 is the high-profile second installment of Sega's revolutionary digital collectible card arcade franchise. Developed by Hitmaker, the game stood out as an unprecedented hybrid between a traditional football simulator and a physical trading card game (TCG).
This specific version expanded on the original 2001-2002 game by allowing players to input custom "supervisory data" (manager name and date of birth) and introduced a progression system to evaluate your managerial skills. It also introduced a mechanic where players could chat and hold friendly matches to increase their team's "cooperation value", alongside the highly sought-after "SERIE A LEGEND" rare cards produced in partnership with Panini.
