Overview

Delivery Alert is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20. The missiles fly overhead, screaming like banshees in the night. Their explosions reverbating amidst the cries of the wounded. The dusty smell of gun-fire is in the air, and smoke fills the skies, obliterating the war planes diving down to strafe the infantry. Communications have been severed, and you must deliver strategic plans from one command post to another, dodging snipers and machine gunners. The game play area contains a 9 x 9 grid of trees. A cannon at the left of the screen continuously scrolls from the top to the bottom of the screen, and if the cannon aligns with the player, it will destroy them. The player can hide behind trees to avoid death. When all packages are delivered a new set of letters appears and the cannon speeds up. The player starts with 3 lives and receives a bonus man every 5000 points. Warning/Note: Do not enter the castle until all boxes are collected. This is not a feature, rather it's a bug in the game's code that crashes the game if you enter the castle without collecting all boxes on the level
