Overview

Cops and Robbers is a two-player game originally published in "The Commodore 64 Games Book - 21 Sensational Games." One player controls the cops, while the other controls the robbers. The goal for the cops is to chase and catch the robbers in the city before they escape to their hideout. The city streets run north to south and east to west. The cops have faster cars but must obey traffic laws, allowing only forward or left turns at intersections, with no right turns or U-turns. The robbers can ignore traffic laws, giving them better maneuverability despite having slower cars. Players can choose the speed of the game. At its fastest, it becomes a thrilling chase through the streets. Played more slowly, it becomes a game of strategy.
