Overview
Enchanted Island is a text adventure game. The player has found themselves on a small island somewhere off the coast of Australia. They must search the island's surface, swamps, and the caverns beneath for a number of treasures, including: a golden feather, a mammoth ruby, a jewel encrusted coconut, rare spices, Cuban cigars, a priceless giraffe skin, a gold ring, golden antlers, a silver key, an enormous emerald, and a golden chain. During their adventure, the player must outsmart or befriend the locals, and defeat various wildlife which has no business being in Australia, such as bears and tigers. All commands are via VERB NOUN entry, and most puzzles are inventory based. There is no save or restore feature. The player must return all these treasures to the starting point along the coast of the island, to score a total of 140 points.
