The Diabolical Plot of Doctor Dracupig

The Diabolical Plot of Doctor Dracupig is a 1-player arcade shooter for the Apple II.

From the Office of the Secretary of Defense, "Our agents have learned that the demented genius Dr. Dracupig has developed a process to reanimate body parts. He plans to use these unusual creations to conquer the world."

The player controls a hypodermic needle at the bottom of the screen, which scrolls left and right, and has the ability to fire vertically upwards. Each level has 3 rounds of combat, and during each round 4 moving monsters appear on the screen and begin to wander off. The player must shoot at least one creature to advance to the next round. At the end of each level, a new challenge presents itself to the player. At the beginning of level 2 three purple barricades appear on the screen. On level 3 moving red bars appear, and level 4 introduces enemy missiles which rain from above. There are a total of 10 levels, and if the player is able to survive them all, then they will encounter a bonus level.

The player's hypodermic needle has 150 shots, and if it runs out, they player loses a life. The needle is recharged at the end of levels 3, 6, and 9. The player starts with 3 lives, and it's game over when all are lost.
